Located at Varden, 6412 Molde, Norway, at 407 meters above sea level, Vardestua Restaurant Molde view overlooks the entire city, the fjord, and the dramatic mountain skyline that makes western Norway famous.

After driving the Atlantic Ocean Road, Peter and I searched Google Maps for a scenic stop near Molde. That is how we found Vardestua Restaurant Molde view. We simply could not ignore it.

The Drive Up to Vardestua Restaurant Molde View

Getting to Vardestua Restaurant Molde view is part of the adventure. We drove up in a 1.0 engine Peugeot 208, and that climb is no joke. The road is narrow, steep, and winding. At certain points, you feel the engine working hard and you hope nothing comes downhill at the same time.

But that final stretch makes arriving at Vardestua Restaurant Molde view even more rewarding. When we finally reached the top, slightly relieved and slightly proud, the panorama opened up instantly.

The View Over Molde and the Fjord

The Vardestua Restaurant Molde view is simply stunning. From 407 meters above sea level, you look straight over Molde, the surrounding fjord, and the iconic mountain peaks across the water.

You can clearly spot the Molde FK stadium from up here, which is a cool detail if you follow Norwegian football. Ships move slowly through the fjord, and the city feels small beneath you. Even on a cloudy day, the atmosphere is impressive. On a sunny day, this place is next level.

We grabbed a coffee at Vardestua Restaurant Molde view and just sat outside, taking it all in. No rush. Just nature, silence, and that wide Norwegian horizon.
