With six of us walking from the cottage to the pool, there was that classic Center Parcs feeling, trees around you, soft lights turning on, anticipation building. Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos is especially magical in the evening. The dome lighting reflects on the water, and the entire space feels warm, tropical, and alive.

We started with multiple rounds of the wild water river at Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos. At first, it feels manageable, almost relaxed. But once you reach the seated section in the middle, things get more intense. From there, you are pulled into a steeper section, followed by a stronger current that pushes you forward into a pool area where another slide ends.
The final descent takes you toward the end of the route. It is fun, energetic, and honestly quite thrilling. Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos delivers a wild water river that is not boring.
That said, a small note for families. Up to the seated middle section, it feels very child friendly. Once the wild water river reenters the main Aqua Mundo dome, it becomes rougher. We did not see anyone struggle, but I would strongly recommend doing the first round together with your kids. Always take that first ride calmly.

This recent renovation brought a fresh, competitive element to the park. The Duo Racer Slide has two lanes. You climb a tall spiral staircase, something I personally always find slightly intimidating in Dutch swimming paradises, metal stairs, open sides, many people waiting. But once you reach the top, the excitement takes over.
There is a large LED panel showing information and scores. A countdown from three to zero signals the start. You launch at the same time as your opponent and race down.
The slide is divided into two parts with a safe transition section in between. The structure feels solid and secure. Peter and I raced each other, and I lost. Peter slid down like a feather, smooth and fast. Congratulations to Peter.
The Duo Racer Slide at Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos is absolutely one of the main reasons to visit right now. It adds competition, fun, and replay value.
Kids Area and Warmer Water

We also explored the diving pool area. Ideally, you should bring goggles here. Behind the underwater windows, you can see fish swimming past. It is a creative concept.
However, the windows were scratched, and even our DJI Osmo Action struggled to capture clear footage. There were not many visible fish at that moment either. Still, as an idea, it remains a fun and unique addition to Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos. We spent some time swimming here and enjoyed the space regardless.
Pricing, Day Tickets, and Value
We noticed that a day ticket for Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos currently costs around 28 euros per person. That is not cheap. Personally, anything above 20 euros starts to feel expensive for a single day of swimming.
That said, you do get access not only to Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Het Heijderbos but also to the Jungle Dome. The Jungle Dome offers over 2,500 square meters of tropical indoor jungle, more than 250 exotic plants, and around 40 animal species. When you combine both experiences, the price makes more sense.
