Sorsele Airbnb stays can be exactly what you need when you are crossing Swedish Lapland and just want a warm, quiet, simple place for one night. During our road trip from Övertorneå in Sweden, through Sweden and Norway, back toward the Netherlands, we booked this small cabin in Sorsele for one night. It was not a luxury hotel, and it did not need to be. It was a calm little Lapland stop with a fireplace, a comfortable bed, friendly owners, and eight lovely huskies behind the main house.
For less than €60, we had the cabin available for two people for one night. The price was very fair for what we got. The night itself cost €49.70, and Airbnb added a service fee of €9.18, bringing the total to €58.88. For a private cabin in Swedish Lapland, with a warm welcome and a real countryside atmosphere, that felt like a strong deal.
Sorsele Airbnb Arrival After A Long Lapland Drive
We arrived in the evening after a long travel day. Before reaching the Sorsele Airbnb, we had eaten somewhere along the way and stopped at an OKQ8 in Arvidsjaur for an ice cream. It was May, and even in Swedish Lapland, summer slowly starts to feel possible again. The snow season was behind us, the roads were easier, and the long northern daylight made the evening feel calmer than expected.
When we arrived, the owners greeted us in a friendly and relaxed way. That first impression mattered. After several hours on the road, you do not want a complicated check in or unclear setup. Here, they simply showed us the cabin first, explained the basics, and made us feel welcome without overdoing it.
Inside The Sorsele Airbnb Cabin
The cabin itself had a cozy living area with a fireplace, a small kitchenette, a sitting corner, and an FM radio. The kitchenette was simple, so do not expect a full kitchen with proper appliances, but it was enough for a basic overnight stay. The official listing describes it as a small kitchenette with a practical small oven, which fits the style of the place well.
One detail we really appreciated was the 5 liter water container with fresh drinking water. That was a smart touch because the bathroom is not inside the cabin. It made the stay much easier, especially in the evening when you just want to settle in and not walk back and forth for every small thing.
The fireplace was one of the best parts of this Sorsele Airbnb. We used it, and it gave the whole cabin that proper Lapland feeling. A wood burning stove in a small Swedish cabin simply works. It creates warmth, atmosphere, and that quiet road trip memory you remember better than many standard hotel rooms.

From the living area, you pass through an open doorway into the bedroom. An open doorway is the right term here, because there is no actual door between the rooms. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed, most likely two single beds placed together, and a wardrobe for clothes or bags.
The room was simple, but good. It felt quiet, private, and separated from the rest of the property. For one night during a long route, that is more important than extra decoration or luxury features. The bed was comfortable enough, the cabin was peaceful, and we slept well.

The bathroom is not inside the cabin. It is located in the main house, with a separate entrance from outside. From what we saw, the bathroom seemed to have two doors, one from the house side and one from the outside entrance. It was not fully clear if the bathroom is also used by the owners, but for us it worked fine as a guest bathroom.
The bathroom itself was relatively comfortable, with a shower and toilet. During our visit, the water from the shower cabin was not completely perfect, but we forgot to mention it to the owners. That is worth being honest about, but it did not ruin the stay. It is more something to keep in mind if you expect a modern hotel style bathroom directly connected to your room. This Sorsele Airbnb is more rustic and practical than polished.

Meeting The Huskies Behind The House
Behind the main house, the owners run their tours, and that is also where the husky kennel is located. There were eight very sweet dogs, and this unexpectedly became one of the nicest moments of the stay. The woman of the house told us about the dogs in a very natural and enthusiastic way, while the children were also around and busy near the kennel.
We probably spent around 20 minutes there, just talking about the dogs. That made a lot of sense for us, because the person I traveled with had worked as a husky guide in Lapland, exactly the area we had just left. It created a nice connection, and it made the stay feel more personal than a normal overnight stop.
This is also where the Sorsele Airbnb becomes more than just a cabin. The owners are connected to the outdoor and dog sledding world of Lapland, and that gives the place extra character. For travelers who love huskies, snow, cabins, and Arctic style activities, this is a strong fit.

The cabin is connected to Ways of Lapland, which focuses on guided snowmobile tours in Swedish Lapland. Their tours are made for small groups and take guests across snow covered roads, frozen rivers, lakes, and remote areas that are hard to reach in summer. That adds context to the property, because you are not just sleeping next to a random house. You are staying at a place linked to real Lapland outdoor tourism.
Ways of Lapland also works with Lapplands Drag, a small family business that runs professional dog sledding tours with Siberian Huskies. That explains the husky connection at the property and makes the location especially interesting in winter. We visited in May, so we did not join a tour, but I can imagine this place feels even more complete during the snowy season.

It also has atmosphere, and that matters. The fireplace, the wooden cabin style, the quiet setting, and the dogs nearby make it feel much more memorable than a basic roadside motel.

We had a very good experience here. We arrived tired, got a warm welcome, used the fireplace, slept well, met the huskies, and left early the next morning to continue toward our next stop in Norway. Around 9:00, we checked out. There was no car anymore, so the owners had probably already gone to work.
For us, this Sorsele Airbnb was exactly what a good one night road trip stay should be. It was affordable, quiet, personal, and memorable. The cabin gave us privacy, the fireplace gave it character, and the huskies made it feel connected to the Lapland life we had just been part of.
I would recommend this place mostly to road trippers, couples, dog lovers, outdoor travelers, and people who like simple cabins with a real local feeling. It is not perfect for travelers who need every modern comfort inside the same building, but for under €60, this was a very worthwhile stop in Swedish Lapland.

The Sorsele Airbnb is a strong choice if you want an honest, cozy, and affordable cabin stay in Swedish Lapland. The separate bathroom and simple kitchenette are worth knowing in advance, but the fireplace, friendly owners, peaceful bedroom, and husky kennel make the stay feel special.
For a one night stop between Sweden and Norway, this cabin worked very well. It gave us rest, warmth, and one last proper Lapland memory before continuing the long road back toward home.
