Hollywood Boulevard Los Angeles, where we are staying just five minutes away from, at the Hollywood Hills Hotel, made visiting Hollywood Boulevard feel surprisingly relaxed. Before heading out toward Malibu Beach and Santa Monica later that day, we decided to start the morning slow and easy. We grabbed breakfast at the large Target right on Hollywood Boulevard, a location that feels almost unreal considering how central and tourist-heavy this area is. Inside, we stopped by Starbucks for a morning coffee and took our time easing into the day while surrounded by one of the most famous streets in the world.
Walking outside, Hollywood Boulevard immediately feels familiar, even if it’s your first time. For me, it was a place I already “knew” from movies, stories, and especially from Grand Theft Auto V. That mix of pop culture, film history, and modern chaos creates a strange but exciting atmosphere. Visiting Hollywood had been a personal dream for years, and simply being there – without rushing or chasing attractions – already felt like a win.
We spent most of our time strolling along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, casually reading the names embedded in the sidewalk and soaking in the surroundings. Hollywood Boulevard is packed with famous highlights like the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre, and Madame Tussauds Hollywood, but honestly — we didn’t visit any of them. And that was completely fine. Hollywood is one of those places where simply being present, watching the crowds, performers, and everyday chaos is already the experience.
The only place we intentionally stepped into was Marshalls, located between Madame Tussauds and Target, right across from the Library Bar. It turned out to be a perfect stop for souvenirs. We picked up a California beer glass and several L.A.-themed items to bring home — practical, affordable, and genuinely fun reminders of the trip.
Hollywood Boulevard isn’t about quiet beauty or hidden gems, it’s loud, iconic, and unapologetically over-the-top. But that’s exactly what makes it special. Whether you explore attractions or just walk, observe, and let the place speak for itself, Hollywood Boulevard delivers a moment that feels straight out of a movie — or a video game — and sometimes, that’s all you need.
