Apple Park headquarters Cupertino, the HQ of Apple in the United States, a big name! During our road trip through California, after we left our hotel, we made a stop at Apple Park, the iconic headquarters of Apple in Cupertino. While we knew in advance that entering the campus itself wouldn’t be possible—employees only—being this close to Apple’s global nerve center was still a special experience.
Walking Around Apple’s Headquarters
Although access inside the building is restricted, you can walk around parts of the campus perimeter. Apple Park is where major work happens: software development for iOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS, hardware engineering for products like the iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and Vision Pro, and executive operations. Big names such as Tim Cook and Apple’s senior engineering and design teams work here, shaping products that millions use daily.
Parking & Practical Tips
Parking is surprisingly easy. Nearby, there’s a small local shopping area with an Asian supermarket and a pizzeria where you can safely leave your car. Street parking around the area is also possible, making this stop very accessible during a Silicon Valley drive.
A Familiar Place for Apple Fans
As an Apple fan, standing near Apple Park feels surreal. This is the exact location often shown during Apple’s keynotes; Think WWDC presentations, iPhone launch events, and major software announcements streamed worldwide. Seeing the place behind those polished presentations adds an extra layer of appreciation.
Privacy, Security & What You Can See
From the street, visibility is limited. Apple Park is surrounded by green barriers and landscaping, which is great for employee privacy and keeping the campus protected. There is one visible opening, but it’s closed off by a gate. At that entrance, we spotted a security golf cart and several police vehicles. Visitors like us are clearly monitored, which makes sense given the importance of the site.
Is It Worth Visiting?
If you’re not an Apple enthusiast, this stop may not feel essential since you can’t go inside. But for Apple fans and tech lovers, even a brief glimpse of Apple Park is a fun and memorable detail—being just steps away from where some of the world’s most influential tech products are created.
