Airbnb Boise was exactly what we were looking for during our road trip through Idaho. This recently renovated home sits between downtown Boise and the up and coming Garden City area, offering a quiet place to stay while still being close to restaurants, parks, and the Boise River.

We stayed here in early October 2023 and used this Airbnb Boise as a one night stop during a longer road trip through the western United States.

Location and Arrival Experience

Finding the Airbnb

The location is peaceful but slightly hidden. When arriving via Main Street in Boise, the road ends in a 35 mph zone where you need to take the first right turn. We missed this turn the first time, something that can easily happen if you are unfamiliar with the area. After looping back, everything made sense.

Once you take the correct turn, you end up in a quiet residential pocket with only a few houses. It immediately feels calm and safe, a nice contrast to downtown Boise.

Parking and Check In

Parking is simple and convenient. The car can be parked directly on the private driveway, which is ideal when traveling with luggage.

Check in is done via a keypad with a door code, sent by the host in advance. This self check in process works smoothly and allows you to enter the house without waiting or coordinating arrival times.

Living Area and General Layout

Living Room

Upon entering this Airbnb Boise, you step straight into the living area. The space feels warm and functional, with a sofa bed, chairs, a large rug, and a 50 inch HD TV. There is also a guitar in the room, adding a personal touch to the space.

There is no coffee table in the living room, but this never felt like an issue during our stay.

Kitchen and Dining Space

Renovated Kitchen

To the left of the living room is a fully renovated kitchen. It is modern, spacious, and very well equipped. The kitchen includes a large refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a large sink with an industrial style faucet.

There is plenty of counter space, making it easy to prepare meals. Coffee is provided in abundance, with cups placed next to the coffee machine, so there is no need to bring your own. A window looks out onto the porch, giving the kitchen a bright and open feel.

The Kitchen Experience for us as 2 European friends

The kitchen in this Airbnb Boise is modern, spacious, and clearly recently renovated. Everything feels clean and well thought out, with plenty of counter space, quality appliances, and enough equipment to cook proper meals during your stay. One small learning moment for us was the modern gas stove, which took a bit of figuring out at first. Once we understood how it worked, it functioned perfectly, but it is good to know that the setup is more modern than what you might be used to at home.

Dining Area

Next to the kitchen is a large dining table with four chairs. The table is surprisingly spacious and works well for both meals and planning the next travel day.

Bedroom and Bathroom

Bedroom

From the living room, a hallway leads to two doors. The first door opens into the bedroom, which features a queen size bed, a closet, and storage space. The bed looked comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep for my travel companion.

The bedroom is quiet and well separated from the living area.

Bathroom

The second door leads to a beautifully renovated bathroom. The bathroom includes a comfortable shower cabin and a double sink with two separate faucets and mirrors. Towels, soap, and basic toiletries are provided.

The toilet is located in the same room, positioned toward the back. There is also a window with blinds and proper ventilation, keeping the space fresh and practical.

Outdoor Space and Backyard of Airbnb Boise

Porch and Fire Pit

Through the dining area, sliding doors lead to the backyard. Outside, there is a wooden porch with chairs and a small table, perfect for sitting outside in the evening.

Further into the yard, you will find a fire pit area with benches and chairs. Firewood is available on site, making it easy to enjoy a cozy outdoor moment after a long day of driving.

The backyard is fully fenced, offering privacy and a quiet atmosphere to the Airbnb Boise.

Price, Value and Final Thoughts

We stayed one night in October 2023 and paid €175,24 in total, including cleaning fees, service costs, and taxes. For a private, renovated home in this location, the price felt reasonable.

This Airbnb Boise is a strong option for travelers looking for a quiet stay close to downtown, whether for a short city visit or as part of a longer road trip through Idaho. The combination of location, comfort, and outdoor space makes it a place we would easily recommend. If you see Vivi the cat, please say hi from us.
