From the parked car, you walk toward the house through a narrow alley. This passage includes a large guard dog lying there, which adds to the uneasy feeling. The entire approach felt creepy and tense, and both of us were genuinely relieved once we were inside the property. Doors and windows were closed immediately, simply because the surrounding neighborhood did not feel welcoming or safe. This may be subjective, but the area itself left a very poor impression, easily the weakest point of Le cocon de Chênée Liège.
